What makes you stay?

Hey guys it's been quite sometime now since my last blog article which ironically drew a lot of non related comments, but that is okay, a hit is a hit no matter how you look at it =) Anyway, it has been crazy as hell the past few weeks in the office. People leaving left and right due to various reasons (compensation, workload, professional growth and all those shite... ) A lot has happened in a span of 2 weeks that is testing our ability as supervisors to handle pressure situations. To be honest, things were doing okay the past year even with some constant nagging from one of our process owners , it was generally OK. It was just an accumulation of shitty things that triggered the "happening" in the office. To be honest, I really have no complaints with my job right now, the workload, the type of things I am doing and especially the people I am working with, one of the reasons that made me stay for 4 long years. But I would be a hypocrite not to say that I am not affected with what is happening... the truth is I am. I feel what the other guys are feeling and I completely understand where they are coming from. However I can not show my peers my emotion towards the issue as it will compromise my position in the company. I need to show strength, I need to show confidence and I need to show hope...hope that one of these days, we'll be able to get over this bump and continue working as if nothing has happened.

just know that we went through this before... with the pioneer's leaving, the Yu's leaving, the Vito's, the Landayan's, the Mutuc's, etc... but the program still lives on... and we'll shine even brighter... as they say.. diamonds are not made in a day... :D

it is sad to see the pioneers leave...they are the institution of this program...but life goes on...i just really hate the way the compensation was "reconstructed"...personally, i hate the way the changed it...it does not compensate how people are working...it makes me think that they are abusing the capabilities of those who are worked focused...people should be compensated fairly and just...hopefully that a shed of light will come and shower them to see the right path in handling people...

I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.. Goodluck

wanna share something...

“The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.”

“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.”

Don't set compensation as a goal. Find work you like, and the compensation will follow.

In order that people may be happy in their work, these three things are needed: They must be fit for it: They must not do too much of it: And they must have a sense of success in it.

FOUR years is really long, considering that you are in a call center... but hey man, I am not surprised you are still there, because for the very short time we had worked together, I saw that dedication and drive in you. Well... whatever happens, I'd say, GOOD LUCK with your career. God Bless!
