Holiday Bazaar at Nuvali Sta. Rosa

I spent my whole day yesterday at Nuvali, Sta. Rosa together with Karen for her Holiday Bazaar. It was a very tiring day since I stayed there for 12 hours but it was fun. I was in charge of selling the 2 sets of toys that we had. “The Bubbles and The Saltik”. And after my 12 hour debacle, I now understand how difficult it is to sell stuff even if I was just selling 2 items. Despite the fact that it was difficult, I had fun, since I was talking mostly to kids and boy I tell you, my English was put to the test. Just imagine giving out instructions in plain old English and the kids that I was talking to was around 3-7 years old. It was a nice atmosphere at Nuvali yesterday, a lot of families went there just to spend their holiday and enjoy the amenities that is being offered there.

Here are some of the pics from yesterday.

One of the activities that you can do in Nuvali, is to feed the KOI fishes

A view of the school of KOI waiting to be fed by visitors

One of the things that you can do is ride the taxi boat that would tour you around the man made lake in Nuvali

I strongly suggest that when you have time, visit Nuvali together with your family and I'm sure that you will enjoy it. If you happen to visit within this week and until the weekend the Holiday Bazaar will run from December 27, 2010 to January 2, 2011.

Christmas Celebration with Family

Hello everyone, I hope that we are all in good spirits! How was your christmas? HOw did you celebrate it? Well for me I was able to spend it with my family. After work, we attended mass, ate lunch at home and afterwards, we treated the kids out and went to SM. We were also planning to watch a movie together with the kids but the line going in to the movie that the kids wanted to see was ridiculously loong! Good thing that Robinson's was just located beside SM and we just went there instead after the kids have finished playing at a rental playgym inside the mall.

We all watched the movie, and yes, together with the kids at around 9:15 pm already. (Last Full show) I think this is the first time in god knows i don't know how many months that I was able to watch a movie. It was a tagalog movie since we do not have enough choice since cinemas only shows tagalog movies every christmas day.

It was a fun day and the kids certainly enjoyed it and I did too, even if I just slept inside the cinema house :)

It's the most wonderful time of the Year

Christmas is just around the corner but I can't seem to feel the holiday season. What changed? I can still remember when I was growing up, I used to participate with some of my friends in doing rounds inside our subdivision to sing Christmas carols. Though most of the time we end up with "patatawarin" or "maaga pa para mag carol" it was okay, since we were just doing it for fun and we still have the following night to do it again... it was all pure fun.

How time have changed all of that, nowadays, I do not see kids going around singing carols during the Christmas season, none of all the buzz and feeling of "'tis the season".
I know that things might have changed with the way we celebrate Christmas, people may have different priorities now, and are more critical of how they celebrate Christmas, but let us not forget the one true reason why we are celebrating it, and that is to give thanks and praise for the birth of our lord Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed Christmas everyone!
